Digital media companies can now individually license solutions for Video Streaming, Playback, Engagement, and Advertising

New York – September 13, 2019: JW Player, the world’s most powerful and flexible video platform, today announced that it would be unbundling a number of its offerings. The company will now provide clients and prospects the ability to individually license its services to play, stream, engage, and monetize digital video.

The ability for media companies and brands to license individual portions of JW Player’s suite of technology will give greater flexibility and control for clients looking to grow their video engagement and revenue across all screens.

“The digital video landscape is going through a period of transformation with the traditional distinctions between short and long form content, as well as linear TV and digital streaming content, rapidly blurring,” said Dave Otten, CEO of JW Player. “No two media companies are the same, and unbundling our solutions enables us to better support these companies taking back control of their video strategy in this changing environment.”

The option for individual access to the company’s Video Streaming, Native Mobile and Connected TV SDKs, Outstream Ads, Article Matching, and flagship Web Player services will take place immediately.

This flexible platform architecture has enabled leading media companies such as Insider, Inc. to respond to changing viewer behaviors, driving engagement and monetization across every screen. “JW Player has awesome technology, and their products that drive engagement have done wonders for the way people experience video content on our site,” according to Chris Speziale, Director of Product Management at Insider, Inc.

“We’ve identified the most requested services that enable our clients to deliver compelling video experiences across all screens. Each of these services leverage the unique video intelligence we derive from billions of signals across our vast network to help our clients maximize viewer engagement and ad revenue,” added Mr. Otten.

The JW Player team will be showcasing its new streaming and engagement services, including article matching, at the 2019 IBC Show from September 13-17 in Amsterdam. Schedule time with their team of video experts to learn more.
