MEET OUR LEADING PLAYERS

Dave Otten

CO-FOUNDER AND CEO

Dave has 10+ years'’ experience in Internet technology. Earlier in his career, he managed a network of 6,000 affiliates as VP of Affiliate Distribution at AzoogleAds, was VP of Corporate Development at Nielsen/NetRatings, and served as VP of Revenue Operations at About.com.

He earned a bachelor’'s degree in finance from Georgetown University and an MBA from Harvard Business School.

Jeroen Wijering

CO-FOUNDER AND CREATOR

JW Player’'s creator and Chief Product Evangelist is a recognized expert in online video and standards who drives innovation and market awareness and is active in the IAB and W3C standards committees. Jeroen frequently presents at conferences such as IBC and Streaming Media and contributes to publications including UX Magazine and Mozilla Hacks. Jeroen has developed several other projects including Sync.nl, an online magazine for entrepreneurs and professionals, and a media-hosting service called Bits on the Run.

He graduated with honors from the Design Academy Eindhoven with a degree in management and communication.

Brian Rifkin

CO-FOUNDER

Brian has worked online since 1997. Until 2007, he served as President of A Simple Internet, a media services firm he founded in 2001 specializing in performance-based marketing. Previously, he was SVP of Business Development at About.com.

He holds a BS in business administration from the University of Pittsburgh.

Chris Mahl

PRESIDENT

Chris has spent more than 20 years driving strategy, sales and marketing at top firms including Oracle, informatica, Salesforce.com, RightMedia and LevelUp. He has brought to market technological breakthroughs such as enterprise-wide analytics infrastructure, SAAS-based CRM, exchange-based advertising models, gamified marketing solutions and innovative mobile payments solutions. Informatica and Salesforce.com completed IPOs during Chris' tenure, and he was at RightMedia when it was acquired by Yahoo for $860 million.

Chris holds a BS in finance and marketing from Boston College.

Andrew Eisele

CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER

Prior to joining JW Player, Andrew was the Chief Financial Officer of Medialets, the most widely deployed rich media advertising platform for mobile, tablets and connected devices. He also previously served as the Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer of TargetSpot—where he helped to build the nation's largest internet and mobile radio advertising network, with nearly 40 million unique visitors per month—and at Associated Content, About.com, TIME Inc. New Media, Loan Pricing Corporation (a Reuters company) and Citicorp.

Andrew holds an MBA in finance and international business from New York University and a BS in management from Binghamton University.

John Luther

SVP OF PRODUCT STRATEGY

At JW Player, John's mission is to ensure that we keep our customers on the leading edge of video technology through product innovation, industry leadership and involvement in web standards. He has worked in digital video for more than 12 years and is a recognized online media industry expert and featured speaker at Google I/O, YouTube Developers Live, Streaming Media West, OTTtv World Summit, Open Video Conference, FOMS and others. As VP of Product Management at On2 Technologies, John oversaw the company's VPx video compression technologies and Flix Cloud transcoding service. After Google acquired On2 in 2010, John managed HTML5 video technologies in the Google Chrome web browser and led the WebM open video project. He is most proud of his work standardizing media APIs for the open web platform (Media Source, Encrypted Media, WebVTT) because it allows the web to be accessible to everyone.

John holds a BA in English from Penn State University.

Pablo Schklowsky

SVP OF VIDEO PLATFORM

Pablo is a software engineer and technology leader with more than a decade of experience building scalable front- and back-end web technologies. Since 2008, he has guided the development of the JW Player through fast-paced technological change, incorporating support for HTML5 and standards-based video advertising.

Pablo holds an MSE in technology management from the Wharton School and a BS in computer science and engineering from the University of Pennsylvania.

Rick Okin

VP of DATA PLATFORM

Rick Okin has over 30 years of experience in the information technology industry. Most recently Rick was the CTO at Integral Ad Science where he was responsible for managing all aspects of technology and system operations including application development, project management and architecture, software methodology, infrastructure, software deployment and technical support. Rick also worked closely with the data science and product teams to support and develop the products driven by Integral’s billions of daily transactions across their brand safety, viewability and fraud detection product suite.

Rick holds a B.A. from Vassar College and has completed graduate work in the field of Biochemistry.
